BACKGROUND
Our expert team was retained to assess damages and produce an accurate estimate for over 8 buildings after a devastating EF-4 tornado producing winds of up to 190 MPH ripped through a poultry production and processing facility in Kentucky. The structures varied in size and complexity from 1,000 sq. ft. to the 54,000 sq. ft. processing facility. The tornado completely destroyed one building and completely ripped the roofs off of several buildings. The loss involved significant damage to multiple buildings and affected a wide array of building materials, including concrete, steel, aluminum, brick, wood and glass. Mavin utilized a combination of HD drones, 360° cameras, thermal imaging to determine the extent of interior water intrusion, Matterport for interior measurement and loss capture, and HOVER for accurate building dimensions.
SOLUTION
Our estimators combined for over 500 hours to assess the loss documentation and produce accurate estimates totaling over $48M in damages. Our 3rd party expertise streamlined the claim cycle; reduced carrier time, labor and travel costs; and provided risk mitigation with undisputed accuracy.
